Sprinter Leads Charge for Solar

Keystone RV Company’s Sprinter division now features “Plug ‘N Play” solar prep as standard equipment on all Sprinter travel trailers and fifth wheels, including its price-leading Campfire line. Getting off-the-grid is now a simple matter of plugging a Furrion™ solar panel and charger kit into the Sprinter’s solar port and enjoying free electricity from the sun.

According to Sprinter General Manager Josh Miller, including Plug ‘N Play solar prep fits Sprinter’s long-time mission to “Make Camping Easy.”  Sprinter is Keystone RV Company’s very first brand, celebrating its 20th Anniversary.  Miller describes the changes in the product since they first rolled off the assembly line in 1996 as “hard to imagine.” Explains Miller, “Today’s Sprinter compared to the 1996 model is night and day.  For example, things like 18-cubic foot residential refrigerators, LED lighting, power awnings, flat-screen TVs and Bluetooth didn’t in all practicality exist back then.  Today you will find these features and much more on the new 2016 Sprinters.  By adding Plug ‘N Play solar prep we are propelling Sprinter into the next generation of RVs.”

Nine Tips to Make Your Next RV Show Memorable

RV veteran and Keystone Outback Product Manager Tim Domiano shares his thoughts on how you can make the most of attending an RV Show.

A 30 year RV industry veteran, Tim has participated in at least 500 consumer shows, beginning as a teen in his father’s dealership in southern California.  Says Domiano, “Attending an RV show is a great way to see many different brands and models all within easy walking distance. Dealers will put their newest models in the show and you can take advantage of show specials to get a really extraordinary deal.  It’s a no brainer.  Not only that, shows can be fun.”

Here are Tim’s recommendations:

1. Start with a plan. Consider and discuss who will be camping with you, how you will be using your camper, how often, and for what duration? Will you have hookups at a campground or will you be boon docking without hookups

2. Dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. Many times, no, most times, RV shows are by nature massive, sprawling events. You will want to be comfortable.  If it's an outdoor show, pack sunscreen and drink plenty of water.  Make it fun and don’t hurt yourself.
