The BIG Chill in RV Refrigerators

Seems like no matter how well you plan, the refrigerator in your RV is never big enough. Cold drinks, fresh veggies, maybe a few steaks—let’s face it, all the goodies we take with us camping take up a lot of space.  While the size of the refrigerator is limited by the size of your trailer or fifth wheel, Keystone is introducing three novel solutions to increasing your RVs cold storage capabilities.

 Larger RV Refrigerators

Just as in our homes, over the years refrigerators have grown larger.  Most Keystone brands now offer 6 and even 8-cubic-foot Norcold or Dometic refrigerators with some brands offering 12-plus cubic feet of cold storage. And few brands like Keystone Raptor are the first to offer the industry’s largest RV refrigerator, the Norcold Polar Max-Plus with a whopping 18-cubic-feet of space to store all your perishables.  Because these are 2-way RV refrigerators and run on either shore power or propane, you can continue to operate them even if you camp without hookups.

Hideout Leads the Way with Space Saving Central Vac

Now even the smallest Keystone camper can offer the luxury-sized convenience and cleaning power of a high quality, built-in central vacuum thanks to the new Road-Vac CS-6.

Designed exclusively for Keystone RV by InterVac and available on select Keystone brands, this small but powerful vacuum comes installed in a location that is typically wasted space.  Says Keystone General Manager Kyle Kwasny, “We are rolling out the Road-Vac system in the Hideout line right now and are excited to offer our customers a feature never before seen in this market segment.  Our owners love the convenience of a central vacuum but they don’t want to give up the storage capacity in their coach that a traditional system would require.  At only 6-inches tall the Road-Vac CS-6 demands little space yet it has all the power of larger machines.”  Adds Kwasny, “Our product design team worked closely with the engineers at InterVac to offer Keystone owners this industry-first feature.  No one else has anything like the Road-Vac.  This is another way Keystone builds additional value into our brands.”

RV Hall of Fame Welcomes New Cougar

The national RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, Indiana, is now home to a shiny, new Keystone Cougar fifth wheel.  Cougar joins the ranks of other classic, collectible, and modern RVs on display at the Hall as part of the industry’s on-going RV lifestyle promotion.  The Keystone Cougar was named the #1 selling fifth wheel for the second consecutive year according to Statistical Surveys, Inc. of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

“We are pleased to welcome the Keystone Cougar into the GoRVing Hall of the Museum,” stated RV/MH Hall of Fame president Darryl Searer.  “When you compare the comforts and luxuries of the Cougar to campers from the past, you realize just how far we have come as an industry.  The Cougar features three slideouts, island kitchen, LED lighting and LCD TV as well as remote controls to operate many of the features.  By comparison the 1937 Covered Wagon travel trailer we showcase in the Museum featured a  canvas roof, leatherette sidewall and horsehair bed.  It really is striking to see where we have been and where we are going.”
