Eight ways to beat the heat.
The Dog Days of Summer are upon us and so is the extreme heat.  Give your RV’s air conditioner every advantage by following these eight simple steps—
1.     Maximize “passive solar” and camp in the shade when possible.  Simply parking under a tree will lower the interior temperature of your RV by several degrees and help your AC and your RV refrigerator run more efficiently.
2.    Extend your patio awning and window awnings, if you have them, and lower day/nights shade or blinds to keep the sun out and the cool in.

Baseball, Apple Pie, and Raptor Toy Haulers?

When the Rawlings Sporting Goods Company selected a fifth wheel SURV to customize for their “Perfect Game” mobile show vehicle, the iconic brand chose the Keystone Raptor.  The Raptor will hit the road over the course of the next several years to support the company’s efforts in promoting high school and college baseball athletics. 

While still a work in progress, the Raptor 384PK with side patio ramp is already replete with full wrap custom graphics, awnings emblazoned with the Rawlings logo, and custom patio rail side screens.

According to the folks at Rawlings, future modifications will include the addition of a second generator in order to power a wood lathe in the garage which will be used to demonstrate the baseball bat making process.

New 30-foot Life Size Lightweight Trailer

Keystone’s Laredo is targeting a fast growing segment of the RV market as it continues to add half-ton towable, lightweight travel trailers to its product line. The latest installment is Laredo’s new 274RB island kitchen travel trailer.  At 30-feet long and a weight easily towed by half-ton pickups and SUV’s, it is compact but loaded with features.


“What we’ve done here at Laredo is roll out some fantastic floorplans with our ‘Life-Size’ Lightweight package, says product manager Adam Smith. “We’ve put together a list of features that are important to our customers—including bigger refrigerators, taller ceilings, residential showers, bigger beds, and larger TV’s—and bundled them with what is probably the strongest travel trailer floorplan lineup out there.”
